Despite severe weather warnings, the couple committed to affirming their love on Kukio beach, which is best accessed via the Four Seasons Hualalai Resort, giving it a secluded feel. Luckily, it was clear skies and calm waters while they shared their personalized vows, echoing the sentiment of choosing one another.

August and Robert decided on a private ceremony, where the sole focus was on their love. That way they could remain vulnerable, a founding tenant of their relationship, while reflecting on the easy-going, instant connection that started it all.

They surprised their family with the romantic Highlight video of the ceremony to announce their marriage and unlike the footprints they left on the beach, their story left a lasting impression on me. I was glad to share in such an intimate moment.
